FAQs
Please use the new Online Library Summon Search. If you are accessing the Online Library from within the portal the Summon search box is on the left hand side of the page. Otherwise click on the link to Summon on your Online Library gateway. To search for an article type the full title and author if you have it into the search box and press ‘Search Library’, we recommend that you put quotation marks around the title to find the exact article. For further help read the Summon Guide.
You can use the A - Z Journals List by typing the title of the Journal and pressing ‘search’. The search results will tell you which database the journal is in and which years are available. You can be taken directly to issues of the journal by clicking on the title.
If you cannot find the full text of an article it may be because we do not subscribe to that particular journal. Most databases will allow you to view abstracts but only the full text of journals we have subscribed and paid for. On the database list for your course there is information about the full text coverage of each database.
To avoid frustration use the Summon Search as you will be able to find out if we have full text access.

Please submit your suggestion using the suggest a resource form.
Please note that while we do aim to provide all essential course materials we may not be able to provide suggested further reading.
The Online Library provides access to some books via the database Dawsons books. In some cases chapters from books have been placed on your course VLE.
It is our intention to increase E-book provision in the future.
Unfortunately, whilst our long term aim is to make the Online Library part of the core service for all University of London International Programme Students, we are not able to launch services for all courses at once, but please email us your course requirements.
If you cannot find the solution in our online help pages, you can contact the Online Library for assistance.
