Library Law Quiz: Introduction

Welcome to the law quiz. The Online Library provides extensive resources for law students, but if you are not confident in using these resources you will not be able exploit this valuable resource. Working through the ten quick tasks below will give a good grounding in using the major legal databases we provide. Before you start though:

• You will need either your Student Portal password or Athens account to access the databases you will be using in the quiz.
  • Register online if you do not yet have your Portal password.
  • Register online if you do not yet have your Athens username and password.
• We recommend that you take a look at the database quick start guides - these cover the basics of using each database and will help you complete the tasks without cheating by looking at the answers!

When you have completed the Library Law Quiz we recommend that you read the Legal Research Skills guides. These guides will help you to improve your legal research skills, and spending some time working through these guides now will save you valuable time in the future.
