The Results Page
Your search on "Welfare State" has produced a large number of results. The grey refine your search menu on the left side of the page contains filters to reduce the number of results and make your search more relevant. Follow the instructions below to filter your results, after you have used a filter allow the page to refresh and remember to select the 'Keep Search Refinements' button to save your changes.
- Refine your Search. This part of the menu allows you to limit to full text only, scholarly peer-reviewed publications, exclude newspaper articles and search for results beyond the resources in the Online Library databases (please note these items will not be free)
Select 'Items with full text online' to only display results where you will be able to link to the full text.
- Content Type. You may wish to limit your results to journals articles or newspapers only, If you select 'more...' you can exclude resources.
Excluding Book Reviews- Click 'more...' and then select 'book review' in the Exclude column to remove book reviews from your results.
- Subject Terms. Narrow down your topic further by selecting subject terms. Once again you can use 'more' to view other subject terms and to exclude terms from your search.
Scroll up to see the search results and then choose a subject term from the menu to narrow your search by topic.
- Publication Date. Use the date slider to specify a publication date range, or use the boxes to specify an exact date.
Scroll up to see the search results and then use the Publication Date menu to find articles published in the last year, select the beginning of this year but leave the 'to' field blank.
